I feel so blessed that I live in a culture where I can be free. I get to live my life as a fearless, loving queer person. But every time I think about this, I’m brought to tears. The liberty that I experience in my life is the effort of so many people. Some of them here. Some of them gone. But this is their legacy.

June is PRIDE MONTH which commemorates the Stonewall riots in June 1969, a series of rallies by members of the LGBTIQA+ community against a police raid at a gay bar in New York. It was one of the most important events leading to the gay liberation movement and the modern fight for our rights.
